There are many discussions take place during recent times in regional cinemas, speaking about quality of Kannada movies and discussing about it will be an eye-opener for some our film makers, what NOT TO DO from the idea to implementation. There are a huge change recently happening in this industry, but still sometimes they push themselves backwards whereas world movies are growing including south Indian movies, recently got to know through a post on social media focusing the quality of kannada film and why old legacy of movie making is carried on with no content change in sandalwood.

I feel Kannada Audience (not all) should watch and educate themself by watching old good classics across world at a large without language barrier, once movie watching culture gets changed, making pattern will change for sure. And obviously selection of movie watching will change.

Everyone now a days do watch international/regional classics or non-classics with English subs, or no subtitles and thoroughly enjoying it, but there are few who want to watch those movies back off with language understanding limitations. You know watching a classic in own language is something soulful experience. 🙂 yes !!
Let’s make it … let this idea spark the beginning of understanding cinema with own comfort language and bring more makers into limelight.

I have made some classic movies titles in Kannada (not subtitles), from their original language, just as a beginning ! anybody willing to joining with me can join for this venture called “Subtitles for World Classics in Kannada”, this is just a brainchild, I know alone I cannot do this, need support from movie writers, movie researcher’s, and enthusiasts.
How to Start Subtitles for World Classics in Kannada
World Movies are available in subtitles for almost languages including English, French, Spanish, Italian, German and Arabic… not in Kannada. My primary mission is to make subtitles available for classic films in native language-Kannada and later non-classic films and other Indian language films are being published to cater to the needs and aspirations of the audience.
